It’s not easy to please everyone. In fact, it’s practically impossible. But when you’re creating workspaces for tomorrow, you’ve got to keep the bigger picture in mind and avoid implementing technologies that only benefit a select few. You need to make investments for the entire organisation, not just a particular group.

One team may want more collaboration, another may require more privacy or concentration in their daily tasks. And that’s where it gets tricky, because without the appropriate technologies working together as part of a collaborative strategy, your workspace may become disjointed and out of sync with your overall business goals.

In terms of technology, an end-user computing platform can work well to pull all the disparate elements together. And have you thought about as-a-service models, that is, if you want to avoid on-premise or bespoke implementation and integration that can quickly get complicated and expensive!

Your end-to-end platform should also address smart device challenges by taking care of device management and user management. It must provide application availability, and cover next-generation PCs under the same management umbrella. Finally, it should enable the smoother extraction of data, while ensuring the data’s integrity when it’s in transit or residing on a device.

If all of this sounds easier said than done, we have a few more thoughts and suggestions for you in this latest thinking article on technology and workspaces for tomorrow.
